Features of the lodge include a mezzanine master bedroom that overlooks the main lake where you can watch the resident swans. The vacation property is centrally located and ideal to explore one of Wales’ top attractions, Pembrey Country Park with its many footpaths, 8 miles of golden sandy beach, 550 acres of woodlands, and dry-ski slope, and the longest toboggan run in Wales. A trip to Carmarthenshire is not complete without a visit to Laugharne, which was formerly home to famous Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, who described the charming village as the strangest town in Wales. A 40-minute drive and you can visit the stunning Gower Peninsula which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty worth a visit, or traveling west, Oakwood, Folly Farm, and the famous walled town of Tenby. The lodge is close to the beach just 4 miles away, shops 4 miles, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
The lodge sits on a smallholding which is a working farm so there may be occasional machinery noise. The 4-acre course fishing lake is open to the public Monday to Friday 8 am to 6:30 pm and is free to guests of the lodge. The property holds occasional fishing matches on Sundays. During matches, privacy in the lodge is kept as best as possible with just a limited number of fishermen fishing the furthest part of the lake.

Rhossili Bay Beach. Three miles of golden sand are accessible by a steep path down from the clifftop. The beach is quieter than one would expect for a setting so stunning. You can walk to it to see the seabirds (and perhaps a grey seal!) for two hours on either side of the low tide without getting your feet wet but take care to be back before it returns.
