The Tiny Haven, nestled amongst tall cedars in the magical southern end of Salt Spring Island, is surrounded with rolling farmland and idyllic and secluded beach, as well as lush rainforest. You’ll feel at home in the self-contained and uniquely appointed space of this tiny house, whether you want to find some peace or adventure in nature.

The Tiny Haven is an 330 square foot tiny house designed for up to four people, including children over five years old. The owners built this tiny home themselves, focusing on reclaimed and organic building materials. With its large windows and warm wood tone, you will feel like the natural world is being welcomed inside.

The tiny house is full of unique features. It has a queen sized bed in a sleeping loft that can be reached by a sturdy wooden staircase. The Tiny Haven Loft is an adult only space and not suitable for kids under 12 years of age. The second bedroom features cot-sized beds for children over 5 years of age. It has an outside entrance and deck attached. The tiny house’s front features a large covered patio and a private fence area. This is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility in the quiet neighborhood. On the deck, there is a BBQ. You can enjoy cooking in the well-equipped kitchen equipped with a gas oven and stovetop during your vacation. The Tiny Haven is equipped with a Separett Composting Toilet that is eco-friendly and easy to use.

The tiny home feels spacious, but it’s important to note that the doorways, hallways, shower, and kitchen ceiling are all a bit narrower than usual. You may find that tall people with broad shoulders will need to dip from time to time. During your stay, you can explore four beach access points along the road, including the beautiful Tsawout Reserve Trail, which connects to Fulford Harbour, a quaint town with shops and restaurants. You can also kayak, play, or forage around the woods or hike through the forest habitats, fields, and shore habitats in nearby Ruckle Park. Use the free bikes to explore the picturesque scenery of south Salt Spring Island.

Breakfast is self-catered at the tiny home. The owners supply local breakfast items such as cream, milk, eggs and butter, fruit and jam. The tiny house pantry offers a variety of items to help you pack food for day trips. These include cloth metal lunch tiffins and grocery bags, as well as travel mugs, Mason jars, reusable bottles, and a beer/cider keg.
