This riverside retreat is located just outside Hot Springs in North Carolina. The 1,500-square foot cabin has two bedrooms, two beds and 2 bathrooms. It can sleep up to six people. The cabin features a covered porch and fiber optic cable wifi. The owner built the riverside cabin from reclaimed materials. It has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms with deluxe showers. The cabin is 6 miles away (3 of those miles are gravel) and 45 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina. The cabin is perfect for a relaxing vacation and also for outdoor enthusiasts. During your vacation, you can relax on the porch while watching the river flow. You can build a campfire, roast some marshmallows and even pitch a tent. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the many nearby hiking trails.
The French Broad River is great for canoes and tubes. Put in upstream and get out at your cabin. Local fishermen tell the owners that this property has some of the best fishing spots along the river. Just down the street is a premier creek for trout fishing in the Paint Creek Corridor. The cabin is close to mountain biking trails, which are world-class trout streams for hiking or backpacking. This is the perfect place for bird watchers. You may see the resident baldeagle, which is often seen circling above the river. Or you may hear the geese humming as they fly in formation up and down the stream. You can ride your bike on a 24-mile loop that goes from Paint Creek to Hot Springs, or a 12-mile loop that takes you through Paint Creek Corridor. The large wraparound porch and private upper veranda are two of the most impressive features.
On the main level, you enter from a covered carport into an open concept, full kitchen/living/dining area with a table and room to sit at the bar. The living area has a leather sofa, wood beams and a fireplace that features a stone profile. A wood stove insert is also included. The main floor bedroom has a king size bed and a walk in closet. The main level bathroom has a washer/dryer and a large shower with tile. There is also an exit that wraps around a covered patio of 750 square feet.
The master bedroom is located upstairs. It has a king size bed, a bathroom ensuite with French doors that lead to a covered veranda with a view of the river. Enjoy the sounds of the rushing rivers and the afternoon sun while in private. The owners hope that you will enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful spot, surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest and Cherokee National Forest as well as the French Broad River. The location is six miles outside of Hot Springs. The last three miles are on a gravel-road.
